The Houston Texans have signed unrestricted free agent linebacker Bradie James and re-signed linebacker Tim Dobbins. The Texans needed to add depth at linebacker after trading DeMeco Ryans to Philadelphia.
Dobbins played in 15 games last season, leading the team with nine special teams tackles and adding four tackles and a forced fumble on defense.

The Houston Texans have signed unrestricted free agent linebacker Bradie James and re-signed linebacker Tim Dobbins. The Texans needed to add depth at linebacker after trading DeMeco Ryans to Philadelphia.
The 6-foot-2, 246-pound James played for Dallas from 2003-10. He made more than 100 tackles in five straight seasons and led the Cowboys in tackles six times. He had 15 1/2 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, 12 recoveries and two interceptions in his nine seasons with the Cowboys. James will be reunited with Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, linebackers coach Reggie Herring and assistant linebackers coach Bobby King, who coached him in Dallas.

The Houston Texans have re-signed Myers, salvaging a week in which they lost two offensive linemen and star outside linebacker Mario Williams.
Myers confirmed in a phone interview on Friday night that he had signed a four-year deal. The 6-foot-4, 289-pound Myers made his first Pro Bowl last season after anchoring one of the NFL's top offensive lines. Houston set a franchise record for yards rushing (2,448) and ranked second in rushing offense (153 yards per game) in 2011, a key to its first playoff appearance.

Foster, Arian (RB)

Foster has signed a five-year, $43.5 million deal to stay in Houston.
An undrafted free agent in 2009, Foster made $525,000 last season. He was the NFL's leading rusher in 2010 with 1,616 yards. He then ran for 1,224 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. He was due to become a restricted free agent next week, but his agent, Mike McCartney, said Monday that Foster was eager to work out a deal with the Texans. He'll make $18 million in base salary next season, plus incentives.

The agent for Foster says the running back has agreed to a five-year deal with the Houston Texans.
Foster's agent Mike McCartney said Monday a deal was done, but financial terms were not immediately available. Foster was an undrafted free agent in 2009, and made $525,000 last season. He was the NFL's leading rusher in 2010 with 1,616 yards and ran for 1,224 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. Re-signing Foster was one of Houston's top priorities after the Texans earned their first division title and playoff victory last season.

Myers is the first Texans offensive lineman to make the Pro Bowl. The Texans ranked second in rushing this season (153 yards per game).

Yates threw three interceptions in a 20-13 playoff defeat to Baltimore on Sunday.
The three interceptions matched the total he had in six regular season games.

Foster, Arian (RB)

Yates, T.J. (QB)

Yates helped the Texans to a 31-10 victory over the bungling Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday in an AFC wild-card game.
Yates was 11 of 20 for 159 yards and one score. He became the answer to a trivia question as the Texans' first-ever postseason QB.
