Lofton, Curtis (LB)
Lofton has agreed to a five-year contract with the New Orleans Saints.
Saints general manager Mickey Loomis, who announced the deal Saturday night, says New Orleans sought Lofton because he can play all three linebacker positions and is just entering the prime of his career. The 6-foot, 241-pound Lofton was a second-round draft choice by the Falcons in 2008 and has started 63 of the 64 games in which he has played.

Bunkley, Brodrick (DT)
The New Orleans Saints and Bunkley have agreed on a five-year contract.
Bunkley spent last season with the Denver Broncos appearing in all 16 regular season games and starting 13. He was credited with 43 tackles during the regular season and also had a sack and forced fumble during the Broncos' two playoff games.

Grubbs, Ben (G)
The New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms on a five-year contract with Pro Bowl guard Ben Grubbs, hoping he can fill the void left when All-Pro left guard Carl Nicks left in free agency for NFC South Division rival Tampa Bay.
Saints general manager Mickey Loomis, who announced the deal Thursday, says Grubbs' experience and past success with the Baltimore Ravens will make him an "outstanding fit" on New Orleans' offense line. The 6-foot-3, 310-pound Grubbs, a former Auburn standout, was selected by Baltimore in the first round of the 2007 draft and became a starter at right guard during his rookie season.

Colston, Marques (WR)
Colston's agent says his client has agreed to new free agent contract with New Orleans.
Joel Segal said Tuesday Colston's new deal is for five years but did disclose the financial terms of the contract. The 6-foot-4 Colston was a seventh-round draft pick of the Saints in 2006 and quickly emerged as a favorite target for quarterback Drew Brees. Colston has amassed more than 1,000 yards receiving in five of his six seasons in New Orleans.

Brees, Drew (QB)
The New Orleans Saints have placed the franchise tag on Drew Brees - giving them exclusive negotiating rights with their Pro Bowl quarterback for the next year. Brees has been involved in lengthy contract talks with the Saints and, without the tag, could have negotiated with other teams as a free agent. Team spokesman Greg Bensel said Saturday that the Saints were officially notifying the NFL of the designation.
The New Orleans Times-Picayune and ESPN.com previously reported that Brees would get the tag. In January, Brees said he would be "beyond stunned" if he and the Saints are unable to agree on a contract extension during this offseason. In 2011, Brees set NFL records with 468 completions, 5,476 yards passing and a completion percentage of 71.2. His prolific passing numbers helped the Saints set a new NFL high for total offensive yards in a season with 7,474.
