Winston, Eric (T)
The Kansas City Chiefs have formally announced the signing of Winston.
Winston was in the fourth year of a $30 million, five-year deal when he was cut by the Houston Texans to save salary cap space. Winston helped Houston become the NFL's second-leading rushing team, and he will address a glaring need for the Chiefs.

Quinn will back up Matt Cassel, who is coming back from a season-ending injury to his throwing hand. The former first-round pick of the Browns started 12 games over three seasons in Cleveland, completing 52 percent of his passes for 1,902 yards and 10 touchdowns with nine interceptions. He did not play in Denver last season.

Boss, Kevin (TE)
One day after signing bruising running back Peyton Hillis, Kansas City added veteran tight end Kevin Boss, who spent last season with the AFC West rival Oakland Raiders.
Boss said during a conference call with reporters Friday that he was intrigued by the young players on offense - among them running back Jamaal Charles and fellow tight end Tony Moeaki - along with a defense that emerged as one of the best in the AFC last season. Boss signed a $16 million, four-year deal with Oakland last summer, but he wasn't utilized as much as with the New York Giants. He only caught 28 passes for 368 yards and three touchdowns.
