The four-time MVP, who signed with Denver after he was cut by the Colts, has been working out with wide receiver Eric Decker over the last month. Manning is not only learning a new playbook in Denver but he's also trying to regain his arm strength following a series of neck operations that sidelined him for all of last season and led to his departure from Indianapolis.

Bannan, Justin (DT)
Veteran defensive tackle Justin Bannan is returning to the Denver Broncos. The 11th-year pro signed a free agent contract with his old club Wednesday. Defensive tackle is one of the Broncos' biggest areas of need. They lost Brodrick Bunkley in free agency and Ryan McBean faces a drug suspension to start the 2012 season, although he and linebacker D.J. Williams are suing the league to have their six-game punishments overturned.
Bannan stated all 16 games for the Broncos in 2010, his only year with the team, before signing last year with St. Louis, where he started 14 games, collecting 35 tackles and one sack. Drafted by Buffalo after a standout career at the University of Colorado, Bannan has played in 144 NFL games with the Bills, Ravens, Broncos and Rams.

Hunter has played in all 32 regular season games and both playoff games for the Broncos since joining the team as a free agent in 2010. He started a dozen games that year while filling in for an injured Elvis Dumervil and recorded 59 tackles.

Hanie, Caleb (QB)
A person familiar with the negotiations says the Denver Broncos have signed former Chicago Bears backup quarterback Caleb Hanie to a two-year deal to back up Peyton Manning.
Hanie, 26, who played at Colorado State, spent the last three seasons in Chicago. He replaced an injured Jay Cutler in the NFC championship two years ago and nearly rallied the Bears past the Packers. But he went 0-4 in place of Cutler last season, including at loss at Denver. The Broncos signed Manning on Monday and then dealt Tim Tebow to the New York Jets. They also considered signing free agent Billy Volek.

Manning, Peyton (QB)
The big deal is done. Peyton Manning is a Denver Bronco. A person familiar with negotiations says that Manning and the Broncos completed his five-year contract worth about $96 million on Tuesday morning. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because Manning is to be introduced at a news conference at Broncos headquarters later. ESPN and the NFL Network first reported on the completion of the Manning deal.
The agreement ends a wild chase for perhaps the most valued free agent in the history of the NFL, a quarterback who has won an unprecedented four league MVP awards and took the Indianapolis Colts to a Super Bowl victory in 2007. It also represents a huge coup for Broncos executive and Hall of Fame QB John Elway, and could spell the end of young quarterback Tim Tebow's career in Denver.

Manning, Peyton (QB)
All that's needed is Peyton Manning's autograph. The Denver Broncos have tentatively scheduled a news conference for Tuesday afternoon, ostensibly to introduce the four-time MVP. There was no announcement that a deal was finally completed, but the last details were expected to be a formality. Manning's contract is expected to be worth about $95 million over five years.
After being pursued by teams around the NFL, the quarterback with four MVP awards is headed to the land of John Elway and Tim Tebow, agreeing to a contract with Denver that could make the Broncos an instant Super Bowl contender. It could also send one of the NFL's most intriguing young players packing. Manning called Elway on Monday and told the Broncos executive that he had chosen Denver over the Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers.

Mays, Joe (LB)
Mays was excited to get a three-year, $12 million deal to stay in Denver. After hearing Peyton Manning had chosen the Broncos over other suitors Monday, he was even more thrilled.
Mays has started 17 games since arriving in Denver from Philadelphia in 2010. He had 75 tackles and 12 starts last season, playing mostly on early downs. He had visited with the New Orleans Saints and was on his way to talk with the Colts on Sunday, when the Broncos agreed to the three-year contract.

Manning, Peyton (QB)
Manning is negotiating to join the Denver Broncos, ESPN reported Monday.
Citing anonymous sources, ESPN said that the four-time MVP has instructed agent Tom Condon to negotiate the details of a deal with Denver. Manning became a free agent when the Indianapolis Colts released him March 7 after the quarterback missed all of last season because of multiple neck surgeries. The addition of Manning could well lead to the trade of Tim Tebow, who energized the Broncos in leading them to the playoffs last season despite his uneven play.
