Hayes, Geno (LB)

Posted April 19, 2012 @ 2:44 p.m.
The Chicago Bears have agreed on a one-year contract with Hayes, who spent his first four seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Hayes started 42 games for the Bucs after being a sixth-round selection out of Florida State in 2008. He was a starter for 13 games last season, finishing third on the team with 86 tackles and also had an interception. Hayes also played on special teams.

Briggs, Lance (LB)

Posted April 11, 2012 @ 1:08 p.m.
The Chicago Bears have agreed to a one-year contract extension with Lance Briggs, keeping the Pro Bowl linebacker through the 2014 season. The Bears announced the deal on Wednesday. Financial terms were not immediately released.
Briggs pushed hard for a new contract at the start of last season, but the Bears wouldn't budge. With three years left on a six-year, $36 million contract, general manager Jerry Angelo basically told Briggs at the time to leave him alone when the linebacker asked for permission to seek a trade if he couldn't get a renegotiated deal before the season. Angelo was fired after an 8-8 finish and he has been replaced by Phil Emery.

Bush, Michael (RB)

Posted March 22, 2012 @ 11:17 a.m.
The Chicago Bears have agreed to a four-year contract with Bush.
Bush will join Matt Forte, who got a franchise tag from the Bears, in Chicago's backfield. Bush played four seasons for the Oakland Raiders, gaining 2,642 yards (4.2 yards per carry) and scoring 21 touchdowns. The powerful 245-pound back had his most productive season in 2011, setting career highs in rushes (256), yards (977), touchdowns (7), receptions (37) and yards receiving (418).

Steltz, Craig (S)

Posted March 16, 2012 @ 5:39 p.m.
The Chicago Bears have agreed to a two-year contract with Steltz.
Steltz has played four seasons with the Bears. He appeared in 16 games and made five starts last season with 48 tackles, one sack, two forced fumbles and 12 special teams stops. The Bears announced the move on Friday.

Marshall, Brandon (WR)

Posted March 16, 2012 @ 12:41 p.m.
New Chicago Bears receiver Brandon Marshall says he is not concerned about being suspended by the NFL for a nightclub incident over the weekend. Marshall says he is excited for the truth to come out, and police had not expressed interest in speaking with him as of Friday morning.
The Bears acquired Marshall from Miami on Tuesday, sending two third-round draft picks to the Dolphins to obtain the No. 1 target they have been lacking for years. But the 6-foot-4, 230-pound Marshall comes with a checkered history, including a nightclub incident just days ago. New York City police say a woman filed a complaint alleging Marshall punched her in the face. He has not been charged in the incident.
