Peppers, Julius (DE)
Peppers is going to the Pro Bowl. The Bears said Monday that Peppers had been added to the roster for Sunday's game in Hawaii, replacing Jason Pierre-Paul of the Super Bowl-bound New York Giants. It will be Peppers' seventh appearance in the all-star game.
Peppers had 27 tackles, 11 sacks, five tackles for losses, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries this season. The 10-year NFL veteran has reached double-digit sacks in seven seasons. Five other Bears were named to the Pro Bowl: linebackers Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher, running back Matt Forte and defensive backs Corey Graham and Charles Tillman.

Forte, Matt (RB)
The Chicago Bears say Forte is cleared to play in the Pro Bowl after passing a physical. Forte sprained the medial collateral ligament in his right knee early in a loss to Kansas City on Dec. 4 and sat out the rest of the season.
Forte was selected to his first Pro Bowl, finishing with 1,487 yards from scrimmage and 997 rushing in his fourth season. He averaged 4.9 yards per carry and figures to be in for a big raise, with his rookie contract expiring. Forte came into the season looking for an extension, but did not reach an agreement with the Bears.

Urlacher, Brian (LB)
The Chicago Bears say an MRI taken Monday showed Urlacher suffered no major structural damage to his left knee in a season-ending win at Minnesota.
The Bears announced on their website that the test confirmed he sprained his medial-collateral ligament and partially sprained the posterior-cruciate ligament on an awkward landing late in Sunday's 17-13 win over Minnesota, but there was no damage to his ACL, menisci or articulating cartilage.

Williams, Roy (WR)
Williams figures the Chicago Bears are in for some changes. He hopes he's part of their plan.
Williams says he would "be happy" to re-sign with Chicago but will look to play elsewhere if they can't reach a deal. The Bears signed the veteran receiver to a one-year contract following a disappointing run in Dallas, hoping he would rediscover some of the form that made him a Pro Bowl pick with Detroit in Mike Martz's system.

Cutler, Jay (QB)
Chicago placed Cutler on injured reserve Tuesday, meaning they he will miss the season finale at Minnesota this week.
Cutler has not played since a win over the San Diego Chargers on Nov. 20, when he broke his thumb trying to help make a tackle following a late interception. The Bears (7-8) have since unraveled with five straight losses and were officially eliminated from playoff contention with a 35-21 defeat at Green Bay on Sunday, a drastic fall for a team that appeared to be a postseason lock.
